A romantic restaurant interior design is completed by the Mexican architects CheremSerrano. This restaurant project is called the La Nonna restaurant; it is located in Mexico City. This restaurant is an Italian restaurant which is precisely located in La Condesa. By the architect, this restaurant project is made in collaboration with the the DMG architects. This restaurant can take the most advantage of the 200 square meters local; it is because the design premise is to liberate the plan. This restaurant is fuses its environment with the simplicity. The floor is made of the dark stone and is built into the sidewalk, incorporating the use of the local materials, while the walls and the ceiling are surrounded by the red brick with the special cutting on the top of the mirrors.
This restaurant mirror is placed in order to enlarge the space and to create a game of light and shadows. The furniture which is used inside the restaurant is elegance and simple. In the middle of the restaurant is placed a bar with a pizza stove and a wood counter to sit and enjoy a nice wine. With the ground floor by an elegant illuminated staircase, the services and the kitchen are placed in a second level to connect with it.
The architects are created a playful mezzanine which is catches the eye of the visitor by letting light in and setting a swinging chair, some books and a floor lamp, while going down to the main level. In order to emphasize the design of the red bricks which is placed in the restaurant area, the ceiling in the stair and the main circulations in painted in black. To integrate the architecture with the functional requirements, the illumination is hidden within the bricks and creates a nice rhythm of the light which is accentuates the architects concern.
