Frasers House, a Luxury Collection Hotel

Frasers House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Singapore, officially debuted on January 7, 2026, as a rebrand of the former InterContinental Singapore. Located at 80 Middle Road within the vibrant Bugis and Bras Basah district, the hotel is centrally integrated into the Bugis Junction mixed-use development. This prime location offers direct indoor access to the Bugis MRT Station and is just a short stroll from cultural enclaves such as Kampong GlamArab Street, and the Bras Basah–Bugis arts district. Situated approximately 2 km from the Central Business District and a 20-minute drive from Changi International Airport, the property serves as a gateway to both historic landmarks and modern retail hubs like Orchard Road and Marina Bay.

Which debuted in January 2026, centers its design theory on the concept of "Heritage Reimagined," blending a storied architectural past with contemporary sophistication. The design philosophy emphasizes a "deep-rooted sense of place," drawing inspiration from the layered cultural influences of the surrounding Bugis district, Kampong Glam, and Arab Street. Key elements of this theory include the preservation of the building's Peranakan-inspired architectural soul while introducing modern, artisanal details and clean lines. This approach prioritizes continuity over reinvention, evolving the landmark into a "culturally attuned" sanctuary that serves as a gateway to Singapore's rich heritage and creative energy.

The hotel's architectural soul is defined by its Peranakan-inspired design, notably featuring a row of cleverly incorporated 1920s shophouses in its Heritage wing. As of early 2026, the property is undergoing a phased restoration managed by Frasers Hospitality in partnership with Marriott International. This transformation aims to enhance its "timeless expression of place" by blending traditional Straits Chinese elements—such as timber floorings, louvered windows, and wooden shutters—with contemporary artisanal details and modern luxury. While several contempora SCDA ry Frasers properties in Singapore were designed by firms like DP Architects (Frasers Tower) or SCDA (Fraser Residence River Promenade), the original 1995 architecture of the Bugis Junction complex that houses the hotel was a collaboration involving firms like P&T Group

Frasers House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Singapore, which officially opened on January 7, 2026, was developed and is owned by Frasers Hospitality, a strategic business unit of the multinational real estate group Frasers Property Limited. The property is the result of a strategic partnership between Frasers Hospitality and Marriott International, marking the debut of The Luxury Collection brand in Singapore's city center.
The developer spearheaded a phased restoration and "asset enhancement" of the iconic heritage building, formerly known as the InterContinental Singapore, to align it with The Luxury Collection's identity while preserving its Peranakan-inspired design. Once the full transformation is complete, the hotel will feature over 400 guest rooms and suites. This project highlights Frasers Property's commitment to creating value through the rejuvenation of cultural landmarks in land-scarce Singapore.
