The Fairmont Udaipur Palace, opened in July 2025, was developed through a collaboration between Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, under the Accor group, and Keystone Resorts Pvt. Ltd., transforming an 18-acre estate in Rajasthan’s Aravalli Hills into a luxurious homage to Mewar’s royal heritage. Its design theory blends traditional Rajputana architecture with contemporary elegance, featuring fortress-inspired elements like chattris, courtyards, and the grand Raj Dwar entrance. The palace is divided into Surya Mahal, Chandra Mahal, and Agni Mahal, symbolizing sun, moon, and fire, with intricate Thikri mirror work, handcrafted embroidery, and leopard motifs celebrating Rajasthan’s cultural and natural legacy. Sustainable design, modern amenities like a 12,000 sq. ft. wellness sanctuary, and vast event spaces, including the Jewel Ballroom and Chand Baori amphitheater, create a regal yet functional “living palace” that honors Udaipur’s timeless grandeur.

The design, inspired by the region’s majestic fortresses, features traditional Rajputana elements such as chattris, ornate courtyards, and the grand Raj Dwar gateway, seamlessly blended with contemporary luxury. The palace’s three thematic wings—Surya Mahal, Chandra Mahal, and Agni Mahal—reflect natural elements of sun, moon, and fire, adorned with intricate Thikri mirror work, hand-carved marble columns, and bespoke frescoes. Fairmont Udaipur Palace, perched atop the Aravalli Hills, offers 327 opulent rooms and suites, including Fairmont Rooms, Signature Rooms with plunge pools, Deluxe Suites, Rajputana Suites, Jewel of Udaipur Suite, Regal Mewar Suite, and the luxurious Royal Maharaja and Maharani Suites, each with private pools and terraces. The palace features an array of world-class amenities, including the Fairmont Spa, a 12,000 sq. ft. wellness sanctuary with therapy suites, cold plunge, steam, sauna, and jacuzzi. Dining options include eight venues: Bahaar (all-day global cuisine), Dahaad (leopard-themed bar), Dastaan (storytelling lounge with tea service), Sitara (cocktail lounge with Aravalli views), Zaika (modern Indian cuisine), Ivory Pool Bar (poolside dining), and upcoming Celeste (Asian bistro) and The Alchemist (Mediterranean kitchen).
