Park Lane Copenhagen is set to begin welcoming guests in October 2024, following an extensive transformation. The 69-key hotel finds home in a property that dates back to the 1920s, originally a cinema and later transformed into a hotel.
Part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the new opening sees many original details retained – a former ballroom, for instance, has been transformed into suites, with original stucco and some chandeliers meticulously restored. Following their transformation, the spaces now feature wooden chevron floors, marble accents, handcrafted wallpaper and heated bathroom floors.
Drawing inspiration from Park Lane Copenhagen’s surroundings, designer Camilla van den Tempel has crafted interiors to promote relaxation, drawing on creamy tones, deep browns and subtle green accents – a nod to nearby park, Øregårdsparken, located opposite the hotel.
“We have invited nature inside and focused on craftmanship and details,” she says. “Quality materials have been carefully selected, such as solid wood, genuine leather, marble, bronze glass, cobber, burnished brass and mohair. We believe that this combination cultivates a feeling of serene minimalism. Every aspect of Park Lane Copenhagen has been thoughtfully curated to provide guests with an unparalleled experience.”
