The St. Regis Singapore

Developed by Richmond Hotel Pte Ltd (a joint venture of City Developments Limited, Hong Leong Holdings, and TID Pte Ltd), The St. Regis Singapore debuted in late 2007. Situated at 29 Tanglin Road in District 10, the property is anchored in an exclusive embassy and residential enclave, offering a dignified urban context just moments from the Orchard Road commercial corridor. The building's architectural envelope was conceptualized by WATG, while the highly ornamented interiors were orchestrated by Wilson Associates. Their design theory translates the brand’s Astor heritage into a residential-style spatial strategy, blending classical European proportions with curated Chinoiserie and a museum-quality private art collection. This identity is executed through a rich, tactile material palette of heavily veined marbles, plush velvets, and bespoke textiles, illuminated by a layered lighting approach that utilizes monumental crystal chandeliers and concealed ambient coves to establish a warm, opulent glow. The spatial program encompasses 299 luxuriously appointed keys, categorized into standard guestrooms, Specialty Suites, and an expansive Presidential Suite. The lower levels activate the public zones through diverse F&B outlets, notably Yan Ting, The Astor Grill, and the signature Astor Bar. Additional programmatic elements include the Astor Ballroom, a signature spa, a fitness center, a landscaped outdoor pool deck, and the hallmark St. Regis Butler service. Ultimately, this property demonstrates how rigorous curation of art and residential-scale materiality can successfully establish an atmosphere of storied permanence within a contemporary hospitality build.
