Amanvari

Named after the Sanskrit words for "peace" and "water," Aman’s debut Mexican retreat, Amanvari, is set on Baja’s untouched East Cape. Designed by Elastic Architects with early inputs from Heah & Co., the property’s organic, contemporary design theory blurs the boundaries between the desert, sea, and estuary. Developed by Irongate, its facilities include elevated, beachfront Casitas, an extensive holistic spa, and multiple international dining venues.

Situated within the exclusive 1,500-acre Costa Palmas private estate, Amanvari emerges directly where the stark, raw landscapes of the desert meet the crystal-clear waters of the Sea of Cortez. The architecture, originally conceptualized by Heah & Co. and realized by Elastic Architects, operates under a design theory deeply rooted in elemental integration. It features stilted, pavilion-style, and beachfront Casitas crafted from sand-hued concrete, natural stone, and tropical wood. These elevated structures are thoughtfully designed to frame sweeping, uninterrupted views of the verdant landscape, the coastline, and the distant Sierra de la Laguna mountains. Developed by Jason Grosfeld’s Irongate, the entire resort's footprint honors its natural setting, preserving the surrounding environment while exuding a calm, minimalist aesthetic.

Beyond its striking accommodations, the resort offers a wealth of world-class facilities and curated amenities designed for ultimate relaxation and recreation. At the heart of the estate are multiple exceptional dining concepts, including Japanese and Italian culinary experiences, alongside open-fire beachfront cooking and a relaxed cocktail lounge. For wellness, the holistic Aman Spa features signature Spa Houses, an open-air yoga pavilion, a contemporary take on the traditional temazcal, and Hydro Houses equipped with a banya and hammam. Guests also have access to the broader Costa Palmas community, which includes a Robert Trent Jones II-designed golf course, 18 acres of organic farms and orchards, a private white-sand beach, and a deep-water marina and yacht club.
