Shangri-La at The Fort, Manila,

Shangri-La at The Fort, Manila, is a luxury hotel and mixed-use complex located in the heart of Bonifacio Global City (BGC), a modern business and lifestyle district in Taguig, Metro Manila. Its central location provides easy access to shopping, dining, and other attractions, and the hotel itself offers extensive amenities, including the large sports and leisure club, Kerry Sports Manila, a variety of restaurants, and well-appointed rooms with city views.

The design theory for the Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila, is a synthesis of architectural ingenuity, sustainable practices, and tailored interior aesthetics to create a dynamic, luxurious, and highly functional mixed-use destination. Designed by Handel Architects and with interiors by HBA, the project is a landmark in Manila's contemporary Bonifacio Global City district.

The Shangri-La at the Fort in Manila was designed by the US-based firm Handel Architects, with GF and Partners Architects Co. serving as the architect of record. The design for the mixed-use, 61-story tower, which is a key feature of the Bonifacio Global City skyline, was developed to address both its prominent stature and local height restrictions. To break up the tower's mass and create a dynamic visual effect, Handel Architects designed the building with two long and two short facades that "slide" away from one another, creating a stepped appearance when viewed from an angle.
The design also strategically manages access to the complex, elevating the main hotel drop-off to an upper level to limit entry points, while the residential entrance is designed as a theatrical space centered on a fountain. The building's podium, which houses one of Manila's largest conference and meeting facilities, is split into two parts by a ramped passageway to help it fit in with neighboring structures. Interior design for the project was led by Manny Samson and Associates, with contributions from other design firms and notable Filipino artists. Additionally, AECOM provided the landscape architecture for the property, crafting a stylish and contemporary outdoor space with indigenous, drought-tolerant plants. The building is also LEED gold-certified, reflecting its commitment to sustainable design.

Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila
, was developed by the Shangri-La Group, a company with extensive experience developing large-scale commercial and mixed-use complexes. The iconic, 250-meter-high building is a flagship property in the Philippines for the renowned worldwide chain of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, which is owned and operated by the Kuok Group of Companies. As part of the Kuok Group, the Shangri-La brand leverages its established capabilities in handling every aspect of property development, from initial concept to launch. This expertise was applied to Shangri-La at the Fort, which incorporates five key components—a 576-room hotel, luxury residences, extensive retail space, dining options, and the city's largest banqueting space—into one of the country's tallest buildings. The project was specifically designed to appeal to a younger, urban demographic, with hotel interiors designed by HBA (Hirsch Bedner Associates).

Shangri-La The Fort, Manila, is an impressive modern luxury hotel featuring a total of 576 guest rooms and suites. Set in the heart of Bonifacio Global City, the accommodations offer a sophisticated atmosphere with contemporary décor. Each room and suite features stylish finishes with accents of marble, silk, and light Italian wood, along with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide sweeping city views. The inventory of rooms and suites is split, with 530 rooms and 46 suites available for guests. For those seeking an elevated experience, the hotel offers a variety of deluxe accommodations, including Premier Suites, several Specialty Suites, and the expansive Shangri-La Suite, one of the largest in Manila.
