Kimpton BEM Budapest

Market Asset Management Zrt., a prominent Hungarian real estate development and asset management company, spearheaded the Kimpton BEM Budapest project through its subsidiary, MAM Buda Project Kft. This strategic investment signifies the growing demand for luxury boutique hotels in Budapest's flourishing hospitality market. IHG Hotels & Resorts, owner of the internationally recognized Kimpton brand, further solidified this vision by entering into a management agreement, solidifying the Kimpton BEM Budapest's position as a premier destination.

Acclaimed architect Marcel Wanders masterfully transformed a historic 19th-century mansion into a sophisticated 127-room enclave. This meticulous restoration blends classic elegance with contemporary design, creating a unique and luxurious ambiance for guests.

Strategically situated in Bem József tér, the Kimpton BEM Budapest offers guests a front-row seat to Budapest's vibrant energy. With its central location, guests can easily access the city's cultural treasures, bustling districts, and iconic landmarks. Notably, the Kimpton BEM Budapest holds the distinction of being the first hotel under the Kimpton brand in Hungary, further solidifying its position as a pioneering establishment within the city's hospitality landscape.

Architectural Expertise by 3H Architects, the Hungarian firm 3H Építésziroda played a critical role in the project. Their expertise likely focused on the meticulous restoration of the 19th-century mansion's exterior facade. This ensured the preservation of the building's historical integrity while adapting it to meet contemporary building codes and the functional requirements of a modern hotel.

Interior Design Vision by Marcel Wanders Studio, the internationally acclaimed Marcel Wanders Studio was entrusted with crafting the hotel's captivating interior design. Led by the visionary designer Marcel Wanders, the studio is renowned for its ability to seamlessly blend innovative elements with a sense of timeless elegance.

The design narrative by Wanders Studio draws inspiration from a rich tapestry of Hungarian cultural heritage. The mythical tale of The Golden Stag and the Turul Bird serves as a central motif. The Turul bird, a symbol of protection for the Magyars, and the stag, representing the origins of life, are subtly woven into the design throughout the hotel. This creates a layered and sophisticated aesthetic that celebrates Budapest's vibrant past while embracing contemporary sensibilities.
