The hotel is close to several historical and cultural attractions, including the ruins of Carthage, the village of Sidi Bou Said, and the Bardo Museum.

The Four Seasons Hotel Tunis was developed by the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts chain. The company is a Canadian multinational hospitality company that manages and operates luxury hotels, resorts, and residential properties. It was founded in 1960 by Isadore Sharp and his son, Issy Sharp.

The Four Seasons Hotel Tunis opened in 2014. It was the first Four Seasons hotel in Tunisia and the company's 100th hotel worldwide. The hotel was built on a 10-hectare site and cost an estimated US$200 million to develop.

The Four Seasons Hotel Tunis has been a success since its opening. It has been praised for its luxurious accommodations, its excellent service, and its beautiful location. The hotel has won a number of awards, including being named one of the "Best Hotels in the World" by Travel + Leisure magazine in 2015 and 2016.

Design and Inspiration by HKS Architects (San Francisco): Led the overall architectural design, creating a contemporary Arabesque style that blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. Lotfi Rebai (Tunis), a local architect who provided valuable insights into Tunisian culture and helped incorporate traditional elements into the design.

Interior Design by Brayton Hughes Design Studios (Los Angeles): Responsible for the luxurious and stylish interiors, using a palette of rich colors and textures inspired by the Tunisian landscape and heritage. Esthetika Decoration (Paris): Contributed their expertise in crafting exquisite furniture and decorative elements, adding a touch of Parisian elegance to the mix.

The design of the Four Seasons Hotel Tunis draws inspiration from various stories and themes, creating a unique and immersive experience for guests. Here are some key elements: Tunisia's rich history, the hotel's location near ancient Roman ruins and the charming village of Sidi Bou Said is reflected in the use of traditional materials like zellij tiles and mashrabiya latticework. Mediterranean luxury, the hotel embraces the laid-back elegance of the Mediterranean, with its spacious outdoor terraces, infinity pool overlooking the sea, and lush gardens.  Arabian Nights ambiance the use of warm colors, intricate patterns, and opulent fabrics evokes the magic and mystery of Arabian tales. Four Seasons of nature the design subtly changes throughout the hotel, reflecting the different seasons of Tunisia, from the vibrant colors of spring to the muted tones of autumn.
