A prominent fixture in the heart of Hanoi since 1901, the Hotel Metropole Hanoi has a long tradition as a luxury venue for prestigious events and a popular rendezvous for business and leisure travelers such as playwrights, ambassadors and heads of state. The recipient of numerous international awards for its fine service, this legendary landmark has contributed to the richness of local heritage.
The hotel includes 364 rooms. The historic Metropole wing has 106 guestrooms and three Legendary Suites. The suites are named after famous residents and visitors to the hotel (Graham Greene, Charlie Chaplin, Somerset Maugham with private garden) and have access to the Club Lounge. We proudly welcome our esteemed guests from all over the world.
The Metropole restaurants and bars are all famous dining venues, each offering a different exotic experience: Le Beaulieu has the best French fare in this corner of the world; Spices Garden offers the ultimate in Vietnamese gastronomy; angelina – Hanoi’s bespoke bar-lounge-restaurant, La Terrasse brings Parisian-style to the sidewalks of Hanoi; Le Club Bar treats guests to its famous chocolate buffet and cool jazz performances; and, finally, Bamboo Bar brings poolside lounging to the next level.
The Hotel Metropole Hanoi is a historic luxury hotel located in Hanoi, Vietnam. The original design of the hotel is credited to two French architects, André Ducamp and Gustave-Émile Dumoutier.
The hotel was first opened in 1901 and has undergone several expansions and renovations throughout its history. The original design of the hotel reflects a blend of French colonial and neoclassical architectural styles, which were popular during the period of French Indochina.
The façade of the hotel features a grand entrance with a combination of arched windows and columns, creating a sense of elegance and grandeur. The interior design of the hotel combines classic European elements with Vietnamese accents, creating a unique blend of styles.
The hotel's corridors and public spaces are adorned with classic French touches, such as chandeliers, ornate moldings, and marble floors. The rooms and suites feature a luxurious and refined design, with a mix of antique and modern furnishings, creating a comfortable and elegant atmosphere for guests.
Over the years, the Hotel Metropole Hanoi has maintained its historic charm while also incorporating contemporary elements to cater to the needs of modern travelers. It has become a symbol of luxury and elegance in Hanoi, attracting visitors from around the world.
It's worth noting that since my knowledge cutoff is September 2021, there may have been recent renovations or design updates to the Hotel Metropole Hanoi that I'm not aware of. It's always a good idea to check the hotel's official website or contact them directly for the most up-to-date information.
