The development of Mandapa, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve was a joint venture between PT. Tanah Teduh and Marriott International, the parent company of the Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand. The resort is managed by Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC, which ensures that guests receive the highest level of service and hospitality.

The design of the resort incorporates traditional Balinese architecture and materials, blending seamlessly into the natural environment while providing guests with modern luxury amenities and services.

The design of Mandapa, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve was created by the interior design firm Jeffrey Wilkes Design, in collaboration with Wimberly Interiors, a global design firm that specializes in the hospitality industry.

The resort's design is inspired by traditional Balinese architecture and features natural materials, such as teak wood and volcanic stone, to create a sense of warmth and harmony with the surrounding environment. 

The interiors are decorated with local artwork, textiles, and other decorative elements, highlighting Bali's rich cultural heritage. The villas and suites feature open-air layouts that blend indoor and outdoor living spaces, while providing guests with privacy and seclusion. 

The overall design concept is centered around the theme of "awaken," which aims to encourage guests to connect with the environment, culture, and themselves through a series of immersive experiences offered by the resort.
