One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai

A royal departure from the norm changes the resort landscape in a city clamoring for five star attention

In a destination renowned for its high rise hotels, the design for a new and unique cultural experience of Dubai was to create a resort on a different scale that was a luxury Arabian experience.

Palatial but accessible in a design that draws on the rich heritage of the region. Wide and grand pathways inlaid with water features and terraces are spaces of great scale but still bring quietude, peace and serenity to the guest.

The One&Only Royal Mirage in Dubai, UAE was designed by the New York-based architecture and interior design firm Wimberly, Allison, Tong & Goo (WATG) in collaboration with the Dubai-based design firm, ARENCO Architecture & Engineering Consultants. The hotel's architecture reflects traditional Arabian design elements and features intricate details, arches, and domes. The interior design combines modern luxury with traditional Middle Eastern accents, creating a unique and opulent atmosphere throughout the hotel.

The landscaping design of One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai was created by Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo (WATG), a global design firm specializing in hospitality and luxury resort projects.

WATG worked closely with the hotel developers to design and implement the outdoor spaces at One&Only Royal Mirage. The landscaping design reflects the elegance and opulence of the hotel, with lush gardens, palm trees, and manicured lawns creating a tranquil oasis in the heart of Dubai.

Water features, such as ornate fountains and pools, are strategically placed throughout the property to enhance the sense of serenity and provide a soothing ambiance for guests. The landscaping design also incorporates Arabian-inspired elements and materials, such as Arabesque patterns and traditional architectural details, to highlight the cultural heritage of the region.

The One&Only Royal Mirage in Dubai, UAE was developed by Kerzner International Holdings Limited, a leading international developer and operator of luxury hotels, resorts, and residences. The company was founded by South African entrepreneur Sol Kerzner and has developed and managed some of the world's most renowned and prestigious hotel and resort destinations. In addition to the One&Only brand, Kerzner International also operates the Atlantis brand of luxury resort destinations.
