The Lake Como EDITION

The Lake Como EDITION is situated on the western shore of Lake Como in the town of Cadenabbia, Italy. Housed within a revitalized 19th-century palazzo, the hotel offers stunning, unobstructed views of the Bellagio promontory across the lake. Its prime waterfront location is part of the picturesque Lake Como Greenway walking route and features a private dock for guests arriving by boat, as well as a floating pool extending out over the water. For convenient travel, a ferry service also stops directly outside the hotel, connecting guests to other lakeside towns.

The Lake Como EDITION reinterprets the traditional Italian concept of "villeggiatura"—a leisurely countryside escape—by blending local heritage with the EDITION brand's signature contemporary luxury and social energy. Housed within a restored 19th-century palazzo, the design, a collaboration between EDITION's creative directors and the design firm Neri&Hu, balances old-world Italian grandeur with a modern, minimalist sensibility. This is achieved by retaining historical elements like the original exterior and high vaulted ceilings, while introducing modern architectural features and materials inspired by Italian architect Carlo Scarpa, such as Palomba stone terrazzo floors, marble archways, and a sculptural staircase. The goal is to create a sophisticated, timeless atmosphere where the interiors seamlessly blend with the spectacular natural surroundings of the lake through extensive greenery, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and a floating pool that provides a direct connection to the water, appealing to international tastemakers seeking both serene escape and vibrant social interaction.

The Lake Como EDITION's architectural design was a collaborative effort by architects De.Tales and interior designers Neri&Hu, working with the EDITION creative team to reimagine the historic 1830 hotel. The design blends the building's 19th-century palazzo exterior with a striking, contemporary interior that honors its past through materials like marble and terrazzo, while creating a fresh, luxurious feel. The project balances a respect for the original structure with a bold, modern vision to create a new destination on the shores of Lake Como. 

The Lake Como EDITION will feature 148 rooms, including 25 suites, two penthouses, and a private villa, with dining options including two restaurants and a poolside bar. Amenities include a spa with a sauna, Turkish bath, and plunge pools, a fitness center, and outdoor and indoor pools connected to the lake. While no specific information on a ballroom is listed, the hotel will offer meeting studios for retreats.
