The Mandarin Oriental Barcelona with its mix of five-star luxury and impeccable style, offers stunning views over the private gardens and the famous modernist landmark Casa Batlló. Located on the elegant boulevard Passeig de Gràcia and at the heart of the Quadrat d’Or (the Golden Square), some of the best work of the Modernista architects can be admired within a walkable distance.
The Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona was developed by KKH Property Investors, a joint venture between KKH Capital Group and Perella Weinberg Real Estate Fund II LP, advised by Aermont Capital LLP. The lead architect was Carlos Ferrater and his studio, OAB (Office of Architecture in Barcelona). The interior design was primarily created by Patricia Urquiola, with contributions from MUZA Lab for the residences.
Despite being surrounded by near all of Barcelona’s major sights, the contemporary design of the rooms at the Mandarin Oriental Barcelona make them become an attraction themselves. With an eye for the building’s architecture and history while having the Catalan spirit in mind, interior designer Patricia Urquiola created 92 light-filled rooms that capture the clean contemporary personality of the Mandarin Oriental Barcelona. Unique rugs, wood floors and classic white walls give each room a modern character with an Oriental touch.
Give your feet a break after exploring the city all day and dive in the hotel pool. Take a nap on one of the lounge chairs or treat yourself to a luxurious spa treatment at the in-house spa at the base of the Mandarin Oriental Barcelona, a serene place where you can pamper your body, mind, and soul. Based on ancient Asian principles your therapy begins with gentle sounds of Tibetan cymbals and ends in a mode of ultimate relaxation.
Based in the heart of Barcelona, this perfect location invites travelers to step out of the Mandarin Oriental Barcelona and explore the most famous sights by foot. Follow the footsteps of Gaudí and discover his colorful Casa Batlló townhouse just across the street, or take a short walk to his apartment block La Pedrera, which now hosts an interesting exhibition. Getting lost in the streets of the city, listening to street musicians at every corner, you will discover local Spanish designers and experience the Catalan spirit in every alley.
