Nestled in the prestigious 8th arrondissement on Avenue Gabriel, just steps from the Champs-Élysées, this property redefines the modern hospitality experience. Developed by visionary hotelier Michel Reybier, the 19th-century private mansion (hôtel particulier) was meticulously reimagined by the renowned French interior designer and architect Jacques Garcia.
Garcia’s design theory for La Réserve shuns the traditional, sprawling hotel aesthetic in favor of deeply personal, Belle Époque opulence. His spatial sequencing is intentionally discrete; instead of a grand, cavernous lobby, guests are welcomed into a series of intimate, residential-scale spaces that evoke the feeling of stepping into the private home of an aristocratic Parisian friend. To achieve this psychological warmth and acoustic intimacy, Garcia employed a rich, sensory palette of deep ruby reds, emerald greens, and muted golds. The interiors are heavily layered with silk-upholstered walls, heavy velvet drapery, Cordoba leather, intricately carved woodwork, and curated antiques that provide a sense of timeless, enveloping comfort.
Beyond its rich architectural and interior narrative, the boutique property supports its "private club" atmosphere with an exceptional, highly exclusive program of facilities. Boutique Accommodations a highly curated collection of just 40 keys, intentionally weighted toward expansive living with 26 lavish suites and 14 elegant rooms. The serene, subterranean Spa Nescens, which features a 16-meter indoor swimming pool, a hammam, and specialized Swiss anti-aging treatments. The acclaimed, two-Michelin-starred restaurant Le Gabriel, alongside the more relaxed dining experience at La Pagode de Cos. A dedicated, guest-only library featuring a curated collection of antique books, a hidden smoking lounge, and an interior courtyard.
