In the heart of the city of Haifa on Moriya Street, the Bruno Pizza is located. The main idea of the design was to make a simple space that will use 2 main architectural elements to create the architectural drama. The first element is a handcrafted spiral stairs that leads to the restroom. The second is a stone pizza bar that is put on a large 30 cm steel INP beam. These elements make a serene atmosphere and allow the place to the costumer to be in awe of the Pizza.
The spiral stairs are made with no central pole. The stair is stabilized by the axis of each step that is posed exactly on the one below. The handrail stabilizes the staircase for horizontal forces. The background of the pizza bar is decorated with a cheerful and humoristic graphic design made by studio Bezalel. It shows the process of pizza fabrication. The restroom of Bruno gives a free view towards the Yogurt shop that is located next to it and belongs to the same owner. This exists to encourage the client to go to the Yogurt shop to have a desert after eating pizza…
