RIHGA Gran Kyoto

RIHGA Gran Kyoto was born in a location about a 3-minute walk from the Hachijo East Exit of Kyoto Station. In collaboration with artists and companies active in Kyoto, we have prepared a variety of enjoyable activities such as art, music, books, and food, so that you can enjoy a new Kyoto experience while staying at the hotel.

In the morning, the restaurant offers Kyoto "Shikisai-bako" ("Four Seasons Box") a stacked breakfast based on the concept of the four seasons in Kyoto. In the daytime, the restaurant is a free lounge exclusively for hotel guests, and in the evening, it is a bar where you can enjoy Japanese sake. Spend a special time in a hotel filled with comfort and playfulness.

Interior design crafted by Hashimoto Yukio Design Consultants, a renowned firm celebrated for blending Japanese tradition with modern elegance. The hotel’s 260 rooms feature a harmonious mix of Kyoto’s cultural heritage and contemporary sophistication, with elements like warm wooden accents, shoji-inspired screens, and soothing color palettes evoking the city’s serene aesthetic. Public spaces, including the lobby, showcase intricate latticework and paper-framed lamps, creating an ambiance of refined tranquility. Thoughtful details, such as locally inspired artwork and furnishings, reflect Kyoto’s seasonal beauty, while modern amenities like spacious wet-room bathrooms and city-view terraces ensure comfort, making the design a seamless fusion of tradition and modernity.

The RIHGA Gran Kyoto is a modern, 4-star hotel developed by the RIHGA Royal Hotels Group, a prestigious Japanese hospitality brand known for its legacy of excellence. Located just a three-minute walk from Kyoto Station’s Hachijo East Exit, the hotel opened in 2020 and offers 260 stylishly designed rooms that blend Kyoto’s traditional aesthetic with contemporary comforts, featuring elements like Simmons beds, wet-room bathrooms, and city-view terraces. The development emphasizes Kyoto’s cultural charm, with artistic collaborations, a tasteful lobby adorned with latticework and paper-framed lamps, and dining experiences like the "Shikisai-bako" (Four Seasons Box) breakfast, showcasing local ingredients. Its prime location near Kyoto Station and attractions like Fushimi Inari-taisha makes it a standout addition to the RIHGA portfolio, catering to both tourists and business travelers seeking an authentic yet modern Kyoto experience.
