The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited is a Hong Kong-based company that owns and operates luxury hotels and commercial properties in Asia, the United States, and Europe. 

The interior design of The Peninsula Hong Kong was carried out by the firms Chhada, Siembieda & Associates (CSA) and HBA, as mentioned earlier.

The original building that houses The Peninsula Hong Kong was designed by British architects W. G. Brunton and R. J. Shaw, and was completed in 1928. The hotel, which is a Hong Kong landmark, has undergone several renovations and additions over the years. The most recent renovation, which was completed in 2013, was led by the Hong Kong-based architectural firm, Remedios Studio.

The renovation aimed to preserve the heritage elements of the building, while also incorporating modern amenities and technologies. Remedios Studio worked closely with The Peninsula Hotels group to create a design that would maintain the hotel's iconic status, while also meeting the expectations of modern travelers. The redesign includes updated guest rooms, new restaurants and bars, a new spa, and a renovated lobby and public areas, all of which reflect the rich history and culture of Hong Kong.
